From a cheap lunch date to a nice dinner out, sushi is always a good choice! It is no surprise that San Diego’s diverse food scene includes some great Japanese restaurants. Here are the best sushi restaurants across San Diego county, ranging from cheap eats, all-you-can eat buffets, vegetarian sushi, and sushi bars that are actual bars!

  1. Sushi Deli – Hillcrest $

What to know:Β Don’t be scared by the amount of people waiting outside! It just shows that this place is a local fave. The wait isn’t usually very long as they serve quickly, but be ready for some good cheap sushi!

Note:Β Sushi Deli also has locations in Downtown and Convoy.

3. RB Sushi – Rancho Bernardo $$

What to know: The drive to North County is SO worth it for all-you-can eat unlimited sushi and other Japanese dishes!

Note:Β There are two other locations in Hillcrest and SDSU area.

4. Azuki Sushi Lounge – Bankers Hill $$

What to do after:Β Go for a walk to Balboa Park and take a photo on Cabrillo Bridge!

5. Full Moon– Gaslamp $$

What to do after:Β Bar hop in Downtown!

6. Sipz Vegetarian Fusion Cafe – Clairemont $

What to know:Β They are not just a sushi restaurant that serves vegetarian options, but is an entirely vegetarian restaurant that has a whole sushi menu plus other asian fusion dishes! Sushi is only served after 5:00 pm.

Note: There is another location in North Park but parking is easier in Clairemont.

7. Goody’s Sushi & Grill – National City $$

What to know: They have Happy Hour from 5 – 6 pm Monday through Friday!

8. Bang Bang – Downtown $$

What to know: Order a punch bowl to share with all of the sushi and start the night at this sushi bar/night club! Dinner, music and dancing all in one place! For the girls, check out the Ryan Gosling themed stall in the bathroom.

9. Saiko Sushi – Coronado $$

What to order: Saiko Roll, Crown Roll, or the Grand Roll are the most popular according to Yelp!

Note: They are also located in North Park.

10. Sushi Diner – Clairemont $

What to know:Β They have rolls inspired by Jamaican cuisine and blast reggae!
